Kuwait, South Korea's opponent in the third Asian qualifier for the 2026 North and Central American World Cup, is changing its head coach.

According to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), the Kuwait Football Association announced on Wednesday that it has parted ways with Portuguese coach Huy Bento.

The Kuwait Football Association also announced the news on social media, saying, "We would like to thank Mr. Vento for his service. We wish him all the best for the future," the organization announced on social media.

Bento was appointed to the Kuwaiti national team in the summer of 2022 and led the team to a second-place finish in Group A with two wins, 무료고스톱다운받기 one draw and three losses in the second round of Asian qualifying for the North and Central American World Cup, qualifying them for the third round.

Under Bento, Kuwait advanced to the third qualifying round for the first time since 2006 in Germany, but the Kuwait Football Association chose to part ways with Bento abruptly.

Kuwait are drawn in Group B with South Korea, Iraq, Jordan, Oman and Palestine in the third qualifying round, with South Korea set to face Kuwait on Nov. 14 and Kuwait on June 10 next year.
